The International Tibet Network’s 2015 European Regional Meeting took place at Casa del Tibet in Barcelona, Spain from 8 – 10 May inclusive, at the kind invitation of Ven. Thubten Wangchen la.

60 participants representing 30 different organisations from 15 countries met over the course of three days.

The meeting included expert speakers Representative Kelsang Gyaltsen la, Kerry Brown and Michael Buckley, sessions on successful campaigns, a movement Situation Analysis and Campaign planning workshops in which groups worked on Environmental campaigns/COP21, Europe Stands with Tibet (Paris Declaration), Olympics, Confucius Institutes and Panchen Lama. All of these action plans are or will be implemented.

We had trainers working with participants on Collaboration, Social Media Strategy development, Digital Fundraising, Information-gathering and media monitoring, Tech Security and Practical Advocacy Skills.

Thubten Wangchen and the staff of Casa del Tibet made everyone very welcome and we really benefited from their excellent facilities and organisation. We thank them deeply for all their hard work and thank all our speakers, trainers and participants for contributing to a very positive and constructive meeting.
