In June 1998, I first got the opportunity to meet His Holiness Dalai Lama; I was touched by the story on the “Power of Compassion of Compassion”. After that, I went to TCV (Tibetan children village) in Dharamsala and learned about the conditions of small children.

Children said they came across the Himalayas by walking. Some children froze to death because of the cold. I learned of the various atrocities committed by China – ban of the Tibetan language, prohibition of the portrait of His Holiness the Dalai Lama..

Under such thought  I wanted to support the children somehow, hence, I started Tibet support activities at Kikuchi and Kubo. “KIKU” is the name given from their initials.
